HIT MAKERS — Southern Aroostook Community School drama students performed “Puttin’ on the Hits II” April 8-10. Cast members are, front row from left, Cassie Garcelon, Taylor Desmond, Mallory Lawlor, Desirae Dubois, Nicole Whilte, Shanna Porter, Olivia Raymond and Jillian Diaferio; middle, Shelby Hartin, Jessalyn Chaffe, Jenica Frazier, Emily Cummings, Kaitlyn Sommers, Ashley Crandall and Kim Pratt; and back, Nate Goodall, Keegan Qualey, Joe Frazier, Taylor Locke, Anthony Diaferio, Billy Adams, Kaleb Burpee, David Ireland and Dylan Porter.
The show started at “Dream Town High’ and the cast members traveled back through time to a pre WWII era, where they danced and sang, celebrating their last night together before the “men” shipped off to war. During the final scene the Dames and Lads said their final goodbyes before they danced away through the audience.
The sophisticated classy show and cast entertained the audience for two and a half hours. The Dames glittered the stage with sequined evening gowns and sparkling flapper dresses. The Lads looked debonair in their pinstriped suits, top hats and walking canes. They brought the audience to their feet when they marched through the crowd in military attire, bearing the flag of the USA. Hats off to the cast and crew for a job well done.
