The Houlton Rifle and Pistol Club will be hosting its 23rd annual Gun Show at the Millar Civic Center in Houlton on Saturday and Sunday, April 17-18.
The doors will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is $4 per person with youth under 12 admitted free.
Raffle tickets will be sold at the door for $1 per ticket or $5 for six on this year’s first-place prize, a Smith and Wesson M&P 15-22 rifle, with the second-place prize being a Smith and Wesson Model 22A pistol and third-place prize, a Smith and Wesson S.W.A.T. knife.
Food and beverages will be available.
If the 2009 event is any indication, in addition to guns and ammo, vendors will be exhibiting knives, holsters, clips, T-shirts, gun stocks, grips, scopes, ammo belts, reloading dies and game calls. Last year’s show featured 14 dealers with a paid attendance of more than 800.
Group’s next meeeting
The monthly meeting of the Houlton Rifle and Pistol Club will be held at 7 p .m. on Sunday, May 2 at the range located adjacent to the Houlton International Airport. A report will be given on the results of the 23rd annual Gun Show, as well as the election of officers. All members are encouraged to attend.
