The Caribou Rotary Club recently made a $5,000 donation to organizers of Cary Medical Center’s Camp Adventure Program, an annual one-week summer camp for teenagers with Type 1 diabetes. The main goal of Camp Adventure is to provide a safe, exciting experience for campers, including participating in a variety of activities like hiking, camping, canoeing, biking, kayaking, swimming and cooking, while learning to monitor and self-manage their diabetes.
