Short Bio: I graduated from the University of Maine at Augusta and began a career in law enforcement at Old Orchard Beach in 1975. I joined the Skowhegan Police Department in September, 1975 where I served as a detective for two years; a sergeant for 14 years; and chief for 10 years. I am a certified executive by the Maine Criminal Justice Academy and served as president of the Maine Chiefs of Police Association from 2003-2004.
Short Family History: I was born in Rumford and spent the younger years of my life growing up in Franklin County. I graduated from Mt. Abram Regional High School. I am married to the former Lauren Tekverk. We have three daughters – Kelly, Amber and Ashley; and one grandson Gavin. We also have three dogs, Hunter, Ajay and Lady.

Interests: Watching professional football, gardening, coin collecting, old automobiles and camping.
