Studded Tires
Now that spring is here, we can expect longer and warmer days, which means getting outside a little more often. As the days warm up the frost starts working its way out of the ground, which means frost heaves, potholes, and a need to repair roads.
To help prevent damage to our roads, please remember to remove your studded tires as they tend to put wear and tear on Houlton and state roads.
Remember that from May 1 to Oct. 1, Maine State Law (Title 29A-Section 1919) states that studded tires are prohibited, and may carry a fine of $137.
Please drive safe.
