Entrepreneur of Year deadline is near

    Leaders Encouraging Aroostook Development (LEAD) and Momentum Aroostook need your help again this year in finding Aroostook County’s outstanding entrepreneurs.
    We are looking for individuals who own (solely or in partnership) and/or operate a business that has thrived because of their vision and leadership. The only criteria is that the business must be based in Aroostook County and have been in operation for at least one year. Non profit and not-for-profit companies are also eligible. You may submit more than one nomination for consideration.
    A panel of judges representing each of the sponsors, LEAD and Momentum Aroostook, and the supporting organizations, Husson University, Northern Maine Community College, the University of Maine at Fort Kent and the University of Maine at Presque Isle, will select the 2010 finalist. The person selected to receive the title of Aroostook Entrepreneur for 2010 will be announced at an evening event on May 27th.
    The deadline for receiving nominations has been extended to April 9, 2010. Information and the nomination form for Aroostook’s Entrepreneur 2010 maybe found on the LEAD and Momentum Aroostook Web sites. You can also have the information e-mailed, faxed or mailed to you by calling 764-0007.
    We hope you will participate in this program to seek out and recognize the outstanding talent that exists in The County’s business community.
