To the editor:
I am appalled and saddened by the fact that so many animals had to die because of the ringworm that was spread through the shelter here. That fact that in the community room alone the spores covered the room from top to bottom tells me maybe their management of the animals and their cleaning standards need to be reevaluated and by someone else other than the staff that already work there. I mean honestly, with proper care of the animals and cleaning of the shelter, couldn’t this whole thing have been prevented?
I am not an expert, but I have heard quite a few complaints about how this shelter is being run, I think it is time for this town to get more involved with what is happening there, and help them make changes for the better so this situation never happens again and animals are taking care of properly and found their forever homes.
