PRESQUE ISLE — The University of Maine at Presque Isle will host an evening Admissions Open House on Wednesday, March 31, beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the UMPI Campus Center.
Adult students and military veterans are especially encouraged to attend special sessions designed just for their needs. The open house will feature sessions on academic programs, student campus life, financial aid, athletics, tours of campus offices and facilities, as well as information on how veterans can use GI Bill benefits to help pay for education. The 2010 “Ms. UMPI Pageant” combines an evening of laughter and competition as male UMPI students vie for the title of Ms. UMPI. As part of this fund-raising event for the University of Maine at Presque Isle’s 2010 Senior Class, each contestant will be required to perform an opening act, model sports and evening wear, and demonstrate a special talent in the quest for the crown. The pageant will be held Thursday, April 1, at 7 p.m. in Wieden Auditorium. Tickets can be purchased at the door for $5 each. FMI, contact 768-9568.
