The Caribou High School Class of 2011 will present Junior Exhibition tonight, March 24, at 7 p.m. in the Caribou Performing Arts Center. “It has long been an honored tradition for the 11th grade students at Caribou High School to present Junior Exhibition each spring,” stated Barbara Souther, CHS faculty member and Jr. Ex. director. “The evening event begins with the class marshals leading their class, marching to “Pomp and Circumstance,” a preparatory step toward graduation the next year,” she added.
Souther also said, “To date, there are only a few high schools that continue this rich custom. I am proud to be a part of Caribou High School’s commitment to this long-standing tradition.”
This year’s program will offer a variety of selections, showcasing the junior class members’ talents in the performing arts. Junior Exhibition speakers will include Ezra Duplissie Cyr, Alyson Michaud, Kyle McEwen, Hannah Holmes, Celeste Johnson, Robert Kiehn, Taylor Arey and Devon Cote.
The event will open with a welcoming address delivered by Ethan Stetson, class president. Emcees for the evening will be Elizabeth Keaton and Adam Chartier, who will share the honor of introducing each speaker.
All Jr. Ex. speakers will be recognized with medals for their participation in representing the CHS Class of 2011 with pride and dignity.
Following tradition, there will be a small reception for the junior class members and their families immediately after the recessional.
