Mclaughlin, Ethel W., 93, March 16, 2010. Arrangements by Plummer Funeral Home, Augusta. Interment to be held in the Monticello Cemetery.     AUGUSTA, MAINE – Ethel W. McLaughlin, age 93, of Smith St., died Tuesday, March 16, 2010, at Augusta Rehabilitation and Nursing Care Center following a long illness. She was born in Monticello, ME on March 26, 1916, a daughter of the late Elbridge C. and Lottie W. (Williams) Wellington.
    Mrs. McLaughlin was a graduate of Ricker Classical Institute in Houlton, ME, class of 1934.
    She had been employed for over 20 years at Houlton High School and was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
    Mrs. McLaughlin was pre-deceased by her husband, Donald A. McLaughlin, a sister, Betty W. Piper and a grandson, Ryan C. McLaughlin.
    She is survived by two sons, Joel E. McLaughlin of Bangor and Donald A. McLaughlin and his wife Marion of Sidney; a sister, Jean W. Terry of Williamsburg, VA; two grandchildren: Shane W. McLaughlin and his wife Meg and Ashlee McLaughlin; a great-grandson, Cameron McLaughlin as well as a niece and a nephew.
    At her request, there will be no public visiting hours or funeral service. A private graveside service will be held at a later date in the family lot in Monticello Village Cemetery, Monticello.
    Arrangements are under the care of Plummer Funeral Home, 16 Pleasant St., Augusta, ME.
