MADELYN CARSON, left, received a check recently from Susan Grove-Markwood of Presque Isle Savings Bank of Maine to support the Presque Isle High School Spanish Club’s efforts to bring Folklorico Ollimpaxqui Ballet Co. to PIHS. Savings Bank of Maine offers a grants program for Maine schools which Carson capitalized on for this project. Folklorico Ollimpaxqui Ballet Co. includes a troupe of dancers whose music, costumes, and moves originate from the traditional culture in Mexico. The company will perform for all PIHS World Language students during the school day Wednesday, March 17, and for the general public that same evening at 7 p.m. in the PIHS auditorium. Admission for the evening performance is $5 per person.
