Bennett to meet citizens

PRESQUE ISLE — In an effort to get to know the citizens he serves and the issues that concern them, City Manager Jim Bennett will be available to meet members of the community on Saturday, March 20.

In his first one-on-one meeting with citizens of Presque Isle, Bennett will be at McDonald’s on Main St. between 7 and 9 a.m. Saturday.
“The purpose of this event is for me to talk directly with Presque Isle citizens and listen to what they feel is important for the future of our community,” said Bennett.
Bennett wants to hear what’s on the minds of residents. He said new input is always welcome.
“The city has always been a leader in Aroostook County. New ideas from citizens like you can only make the community even better,” he said.
The city manager said the local eatery was a natural choice, when looking for a place to meet with the public.
“McDonald’s is a great place to meet with friends. We thank them for allowing us to hold this first-time-ever event at their location,” said Bennett.
