Williams, Frederick M., 70, MARS HILL, in Presque Isle, March 3, 2010. Interment with Military Honors will be held later in the spring. Arrangements are in the care of Duncan Graves Funeral Home.
MARS HILL – Frederick M. Williams, 70, died March 3, 2010 at a Presque Isle hospital. He was born August 8, 1939, in New Castle, Indiana, the son of Marshall and Marjorie (Blessinger) Williams.
He served in the US Air Force and had been employed most of his life in the plastics industry. Fred was a member of Aroostook Lodge # 197 A.F. & A.M. of Mars Hill.
He was known as a good man, and he enjoyed life to its fullest. Fred enjoyed flying his own plane, riding motorcycles, hunting, fishing, watching Nascar and baseball or just getting together with family at a park for a picnic.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Marie (Kilcollins) Williams of Mars Hill; a son, Donald Williams of Grand Rapids, Mich; two daughters, Teressa Forrester of Presque Isle and Kim Williams of Fruitport, Mich; an uncle, Donald Blessinger and his wife Jean of New Castle, IN; two grandchildren, James Bennett and Heather Warner, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 6, at the First Free Baptist Church in Blaine with Pastor Gardner Smith officiating.
