Easler, Cary F., 69, Presque Isle, February 26, 2010. Friends  are invited to call 4:30 until time of service at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 3. Interment will be in the spring with military honors at Fairmount Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of Duncan Graves Funeral Home.

 

ImageImageImagePresque Isle – Cary F. Easler 69, husband of Jean (Davis) Easler, died unexpectedly February 26, 2010 in Presque Isle. He was born January 18, 1941 in Patten, Maine, the son of Frank and Jenny (Shaw) Easler.
    He attended High School in Norwich, CT. He joined the United States Navy in 1961, serving four years active duty during the Vietnam Conflict. He served an additional 24 years with the Maine Army National Guard, affectionately known as “Pops”, retiring at age 60 with a total of 28 years of honorable military service.
    He worked many years for Asplundh Tree Company and Bowater Corporation (Pinkham’s) until retirement.
    He enjoyed the last several years in his retirement job with
NAPA Auto Parts of Presque Isle, delivering parts and joking with customers and coworkers. He was an avid and skilled gardener, enjoyed hunting, fishing and the great outdoors. He loved spending time with family. He was a proud hockey fan, cheering on his grandsons for 17 years. He will be greatly missed by friends and family. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Jean; his five children; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren,Trudy Kuykendall, her husband Mark and son of Delaware; Rick Dwyer, his wife Bonnie and two children of Mapleton; Terri Cyr, her husband Randy and two sons of Presque Isle; Tracy McPherson, her husband David and two sons of Mapleton; Andrew Dwyer and two daughters of Oakland; a brother, David Easler and his wife Dena of Florida; a sister Delores Kirtley of California; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; a brother Paul and a special brother-in-law Kirt.
    Friends are invited to call 4:30 until time of service at 6  p.m. Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at Duncan Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle. Interment will be in the Spring with military honors at Fairmount Cemetery.
