Washburn news

by Christie Cochran

Beginning in next week’s column, we will be adding a special item on Washburn history.
The first photo will include Boy Scouts since this year is their 100th anniversary. Then about once a month, old photos featuring anything denoting the history of the community will be featured with a brief explanation of the photo.

This year is the 150th anniversary of the Crouseville Advent Christian Church and some photos will be used. Also anyone having some of these older photos featuring parts of Washburn history, ranging from the early beginning of Washburn to more “modern” times pre-1960, is urged to let me know at gramchristie@yahoo.com.
