Alex, a yellow and white Maine Coon looking neutered male is at the Halfway Home foster home. He is about 2 years, leukemia tested, distemper & rabies shot and cleared of any parasites. Alex has an extraordinary sweet temperament, is happy, loving, and he gets along well with other cats. He will be available for adoption on Feb. 20 in order to give his previous owners time to claim him if he is lost. Volunteers at the HHPR agree that Alex is a wonderful, beautiful cat. Additional information regarding HHPR can be obtained by calling Norma at 492-1722 or e-mailing milton@mfx.net. The next free pet food pantry delivery is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 18. HHPR volunteers ask that recipients remember to share by taking only what they need. HHPR is in immediate need of financial help with some high veterinary medical bills, and even a $2 donation would be greatly appreciated for those able to help. “January was a cold, hard month for stray cats and the February thaw will start bringing us pregnant ones,” said HHRP President Milton. The winner of the cat quilt was Wendy Koenig. For further HHRP information, visit www.halfwayhomepetrescue.org or on petfinder.com.
