The following is a recap of the final regular season Class D girls and boys games, played through Friday.
Ashland girls 36, Limestone-MSSM 33 (OT) — At Limestone Friday, a depleted Hornets roster needed overtime to beat the Eagles.
Ashland led 7-2, 13-8 and 25-21 at the quarter breaks before Limestone-MSSM rallied to tie the game at 33-33 at the end of regulation.
Adrianna Paradis led Ashland with 11 points.
For the Eagles, Victoria St. Pierre finished with nine points, while Jasmine Cote and Amanda Allen each had eight; Chelsea Leighton, three; Caitlin Good and Stephanie Leighton, each had two; and Savanna Gray, one
.
Fort Fairfield girls 47, Washburn 34 — At Washburn Wednesday, Amanda Hotham led Fort Fairfield with 19 points, while Brooke Beaulieu scored 12; Courtney Churchill added nine and Danielle Tracy, seven. Becca Campbell led Washburn with eight points, while Rayah Saucier, Meghan Saucier and Jordan Chandler each had six; and Sarah Sjoberg, five.
The two teams were tied 11-11 at the end of the first quarter, but Fort Fairfield led 23-19 at halftime and 40-25 after three stanzas.
Washburn boys 65, Fort Fairfield 52 – At Fort Fairfield Thursday, Jordan McLaughlin scored 29 points, including five three-point field goals, to lift Washburn to the upset victory over Fort Fairfield.
Mitch Worcester had 14 points for the Beavers and Conner Fitzpatrick chipped in 13 rebounds.
John McNamee led Fort Fairfield with 25 points and he also grabbed seven boards. Travis Noyes had 11 points and 13 rebounds before suffering an ankle injury with less than two minutes to play in the game. Josh Booth had four assists for the Fort Fairfield Tigers.
Fort Fairfield boys 59, Hodgdon 38 – At Fort Fairfield last Tuesday, Travis Noyes netted 22 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to spark Fort Fairfield by Hodgdon.
Josh Booth added 13 points, including three three-pointers, for the Tigers, who outscored the visitors 17-6 in the second quarter to break the game open.
Josh Hudson scored 12 points to pace Hodgdon.
