CARIBOU, Maine — The Caribou wrestling squad continues to impress on the wrestling mat as the Vikings won two of three recent matches to improve their record to 15-5 on the season. The Vikings traveled to Dover-Foxcroft Saturday to take on Foxcroft Academy and George Stevens Academy and earned split. Caribou beat GSA 60-18, but fell to Foxcroft 54-30. Caribou also hosted Fort Kent Jan. 13 and won 37-34. That meet was decided by the 130-pound bout between Caribou’s Lance Jandreau and Fort Kent’s Spencer Levesque.
Caribou has one regular season match remaining when the Vikings host Nokomis, Fort Kent and Dexter Saturday at 10:30 a.m. Caribou also hosts the Aroostook League Championships on Jan. 27, before competing in the PVC championships at Mattanawcook Academy in Lincoln Jan. 30 at 9 a.m. The Eastern Class B championships will be held Saturday, Feb. 6, with states following on Saturday, Feb. 13.
