    ENFIELD, CT – Joyce Glidden, 80, passed away Jan. 11, 2010. She was born in Monticello, Maine, and graduated from Ricker High School. She was the daughter of the late Lewis and Helen Folsom.
    Joyce was predeceased by her husband, Robert E. Glidden, and daughter, Diane Glidden. She is survived by daughter, Linda Glidden of Enfield, CT;  daughter, Carol Prior and her husband Keith, of Enfield, CT;  granddaughter, Jennifer Scalise and her husband Michael, of Ellington, CT; grandson, Jeffrey Prior and his special friend Alana Cosgrove; two great-grandsons, Nathan and Jacob Scalise; sisters, Georgia Adams of Houlton, ME and Clara and her husband Jack Conlogue of Conway, SC; and several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her brother, Paul Folsom, his wife Kitty Folsom, of Houlton, ME; her sister, Eldora Mooers and her husband, Donald Mooers of East Hartford, CT.
    Since retirement from the Kaman Corporation, she enjoyed traveling, gambling at the casinos and spending time at the Enfield Senior Center with her friends. She also enjoyed the neighborhood chats over coffee while debating politics and how to save the world. Joyce was an avid Red Sox fan and loved watching UConn girls’ basketball games.
    A graveside service was held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, January 13, 2010, at Enfield Street Cemetery, Enfield, CT. Donations in Joyce's memory may be made to the Enfield Community Ambulance Fund, P.O. Box 1249, Enfield, CT 06083-1249. Arrangements by Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels.
