Planning a Winter Carnival for an entire school or organization can be a monumental task. Whether this responsibility falls to one person, or to a committee, Bigrock can help.
Snow tubing is a popular winter time recreational activity among students and adults, and Bigrock is home to the only tubing facility in northern Maine. The alpine ski area, based in Mars Hill, can facilitate groups of all sizes – a classroom, a club, a youth group, a grade level, or an entire school. Depending on the needs of each group, Bigrock can also provide lunch and snacks in the Bigrock Café.
Schools and organizations that are interested in activities to supplement or substitute for snow tubing will find that Bigrock can help there, too.
The mountain’s experienced staff is able to implement a number of fun and active games for all age groups – snow soccer, tag games, obstacle courses, and more.
Snowmobile rides, cross-country skiing, and downhill skiing can also be incorporated into a planned event. Customized itineraries are available to meet the needs of almost any group.
