Adult Education courses offered

    HOULTON — The following courses are being offered by the SAD 29/SAD 70 Adult Education Department. For more information on these and other events, or to register, contact the Adult Education office at 521-3100 ext. 5.
Free Digital Video Intro Session
    Houlton/Hodgdon Adult Education and Mike Fawcett of the “IDEA FACTORY” will present a series on the basics of Digital Video photography beginning on Monday, Jan. 25, 6-8 p.m. at the Houlton High School. The Jan. 25 session is free to the public; a $20 fee will be charged for additional sessions in February. Fawcett is a local video producer and was the production manager for “The Story of Houlton.”
Quickbooks and MS Word Classes
    Houlton/Hodgdon Adult Education announces a 2-session Beginning Quickbooks Pro course with Stacey Emery on Jan. 25 and Feb. 1 from 6 – 9 p.m. for a $30 fee. A two-session Intro to MS Word with Gerald Morey is scheduled for Jan. 28 and Feb. 4 from 6 – 8:30 p.m. for a $20 fee. Both courses will be held at the Houlton Higher Education Center.
CPR & First Aid  at Hodgdon Fire
    Houlton/Hodgdon Adult Education and Region Two Adult Vocational Education announce a CPR course and a First Aid course at the Hodgdon Fire Department.  The CPR class will meet on Wednesday, Jan. 20, from 5:30 –9 p.m. The First Aid class will meet on Tuesday, Jan. 26 from 5:30 – 9 p.m.  Students may register for one or for both classes.  Paul Stewart is the instructor, and the fee for each course is $25.
Start Dates Changed for Cake Decorating and Sewing
    There is a change in the start dates for Cake Decorating and Sewing at the Houlton High School.  
    Cake Decorating with Cindy Webb is now scheduled to start on Tuesday, Jan. 26 (6-9 p.m.) and Sewing with Penny Richardson on Thursday, Jan. 28 from 6-9 p.m.
