New Year’s Baby — A baby boy was the first child born at A.R. Gould Memorial Hospital for 2010.
Jeffrey and Jolene Blake, of Mapleton, welcomed a baby boy, Jared Matthew David, into the world at The Aroostook Medical Center’s A.R. Gould Memorial Hospital on Jan. 1 at 12:45 p.m. Jared weighed 7 pounds, 3 ounces. Dr. Josette Hunter assisted with the delivery. Staff at The Aroostook Medical Center put together a special gift basket for the family which included blankets, a picture frame, clothing, vehicle safety items and more.
