Clark picks up first and second in ski meet

    Kenzie Clark, daughter of Jayne and Bruce Clark, of Houlton is representing Houlton High School on the slopes this season under the tutelage of Central Aroostook’s skiing coach Dennis Larrabee.
    In her latest morning meet, Clark was second in the girls slalom with a time of 1:51.90, trailing Lydia Kieffer of Caribou who finished 1:48.35.
    Placing third through 15th were: Elizabeth Barbosa (Car) 2:01.74; Hallie Bartlett (PI) 2:03.73; Ginger Kieffer (Car) 2:09.22; Paige Small (Car) 2:11.57; Abby Small (Car) 2:14.66; Chelsey Carroll (PI) 2:15.70; Laura Collins (Car) 2:19.63; Mary Jo Sheehan (Car) 2:20.22; Courtney Burby (Car) 2:31.31; Emma Bartlett (PI) 2:31.34; Jolonna Gough (PI) 2:33.68; Regan Buck (Car) 2:34.71 and Jessica Zbylut (Car) 2:36.10.

    In the afternoon meet, Girls Slalom PM, Clark was first with a time of 1:53.22, with Caribou’s Kieffer taking second with 1:57.18.
    Rounding out the skiers were: Collins (Car) 1:59.22; H. Bartlett (PI) 2:07.76; Zbylut (Car) 2:16.59; P. Small (Car) 2:18.19; G. Keiffer (Car) 2:19.58; Carroll (PI) 2:20.34; E. Bartlett (PI) 2:33.24; Buck (Car) 2:33.82; Gough (PI) 2:40.66; Sheehan (Car) 2:43.80; Burby (Car) 2:51.22 and A. Small (Car) 2:55.42.
    In Clark’s first two ski meets, she took a third and fourth place in the opening event and in the next one, she finished second and third.
