CHS wins Nordic meet

    PRESQUE ISLE — Skiers from Caribou, Fort Kent and Fort Fairfield competed against host Presque Isle Dec. 29 in a freestyle meet that featured a morning and afternoon race. Caribou won all four competitions.     Girls top-10 results for local skiers from the afternoon race, which used a 3.2-kilometer course, were: 1, Laura Collins, Car, 13:34.8; 2, Katelyn Plourde, Car, 14:08.2; 6, Ashley Richards, Car, 14:57.3; 7, Emily Soderberg, Car, 15:46.9; 8, Ginger Kieffer, Car, 15:47.4; 9, Madison Outing, Car, 16:16.4; 10, Melissa McKenney, FF, 16:17.5.

    Boys results for local skiers were: 1, Finn Bondeson, Car, 11:08.9; 2, Caleb Chapman,  Car, 11:35.2; 3, Duncan Flynn, Car, 11:39.1; 5, Jared Sleeper, Car, 12:06.9; 6, Tim Freme, Car, 12:34.5; 8, Ezra Duplissie-Cyr, Car, 12:58.5.
    Girls results from the morning race, which featured a 5.9-K course, were: 2, Collins, 27:28.1; 3, Plourde, 28:29.9; 5, Richards, 29:52.5; 7, McKenney, 30:18.2; 9, Kieffer, 31:22.9; 10, Soderberg, 31:50.3.
    Boys results from the morning race were: 1, Bondeson, 22:48.7; 2, Chapman, 23:07.7 3, Flynn, 23:33.4; 5, Freme, 24:20.8; 6, Sleeper, 24:37.9; 10, Duplissie-Cyr, 26:33.7.
