In addition to extended open gym hours, the Presque Isle Recreation and Parks Department will also offer daily activities today and Friday at the community center as follows:
Today is Wii Day at the William Haskell Community Center and is for students in grades 4-8. Come try your luck at Mario vs Sonic: Winter Games and more!
Thursday is Contest Day for grades 1-6. Come try your luck between 10-11:30 a.m. at foosball, ping pong, Connect Four and more. Gym games, also for grades 1-6, are also planned. We’ll be playing capture the flag, rafterball, and dodgeball from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. It is also Dollar Day at the Indoor Pool.
The Presque Isle Recreation and Parks Department will be hosting a New Year’s Overnight for children grades 1-5 in the MSAD 1 communities. Parents may drop off kids starting at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 31, and pick up is by 8 a.m. Jan. 1.
Parents can celebrate New Year’s Eve without having to worry about their kids. The children will enjoy pizza, swimming, bingo, gym games, movies and a New Year’s celebration.
Pre-registration is required, and limited spaces are available. The cost is $25 per child. Registration is under way at the William V. Haskell Community Center.
