Selectpeople should defend prayer time

To the editor:
I am writing in response to the motion to remove prayer from the Limestone town meetings. It appears that the underlying issue is that a potential lawsuit could be brought against the town of Limestone as a legal challenge because a prayer is recited at the town meetings and is a violation of the separation of church and state.     To that, I offer the following: let the lawsuit be brought against the town of Limestone. To the citizens of Limestone, rest assured with the Lord your God acting as the defending attorney, the case will not be lost; and woe to the plaintiffs who bring the suit and suggest that prayer at the town meeting is an injustice —their justice will be served. Citizens of Limestone, no lawsuit regarding this matter has ever been filed against your town to date. With God in your corner, you should not fear, you should stand firm and you should remain abundantly confident that you are acting according to God’s will.
