Check presentation
The Easton School District Wellness Team gratefully accepted a check for $1,715 from The Central Aroostook United for Student Emergencies (The CAUSE) as well as $450 from local donors.

The CAUSE was a joint fund-raising effort between Central Aroostook school districts, Citadel Broadcasting, Presque Isle Rotary Club, University of Maine at Presque Isle and national radio celebrities Lamar, Bob and Sheri, who were on hand for a fund-raising dinner and auction earlier this year. Funds were raised to benefit needy school children in Ashland, Caribou, Easton, Fort Fairfield, Limestone, Mars Hill, Presque Isle and Washburn. The CAUSE sponsored an auction with donated local items going to the highest bidder.
The Wellness Team would like to say thank you to all who generously donated their time or items for this wonderful opportunity to team up for The CAUSE.

The $500 shot
At the Easton Bears game last week, Sean Daniels, of Easton, made the half-court shot that put $500 in his pocket. Sean graduated from Easton last year and played on the Easton Bears’ team. He really made us proud.
Sean only has one arm due to a harvest accident. He has never given up and always tries to do better. He can play basketball as well as any other player. And obviously he can shoot well with one hand, as he proved by making the half-court shot.
Congratulations Sean, you deserve it. We are very proud of you.
Open house
Heidi Thompson will be having an open house at her home on the Station Rd. on Dec. 19 from 1-7 p.m. You will have the pleasure of touring her home and counting her Christmas trees, if you can count that far. She has a lot of them. There will be light refreshments served.
