MDOC publications, DVD available for holidays

    AUGUSTA — The Maine Department of Conservation is again promoting its publications and DVD as perfect holiday gifts.
    The items are available through the MDOC, and more information is available at: http://www.maine.gov/doc.
    Items this year include:
    • “Your Maine Lands: Reflections of a Maine Guide” by Tom Hanrahan — available for $12, including tax and shipping.
    • “Forest Trees of Maine, Centennial Edition 1908-2008” — available for $15. Also available on a CD for the same price, includes tax and shipping.
• “Maine’s Fossil Record: The Paleozoic” by Lisa Churchill-Dickson. Available for: hardcover, $40 plus $2 sales tax; or soft cover, $30 plus $1.50 sales tax — includes shipping.
• “Northrunner: The Allagash Wilderness Waterway” — available for $16.50, which includes tax and shipping. This professionally done DVD has been featured on Maine Public Broadcasting Network and remains a favorite of all those who love Maine’s deep forests and waterways.
