ody Moulton, Shop ‘n Save store manager, and Salvation Army Capt. Irma Pearl check the cartons near the front door where residents can drop off coat and toy donations for area families. Pearl says new or gently used coats, hats, gloves, scarves and warm apparel can be donated until New Year’s Eve. Any apparel will be dry cleaned and given to area residents at no charge. Pearl said “there has been an increase in applications this year for toys, probably due to the economy.” New unwrapped toys for children up to 16 or 17 years of age can be donated until Christmas Eve. “We appreciate that Hannaford’s Shop ‘n Save is willing to work with us and be part of the campaign.”
