Caribou Performing Arts Center donates to local Red Cross

    “The Caribou Performing Arts Center is a definable link to the community and we certainly appreciate all the support shown by local citizens who attend our events,” said CPAC Director Joe Zubrick. “This donation of $250 is the result of a fund-raiser of sorts where 10 percent of all season tickets purchased in 2009 were designated to go to the Aroostook County American Red Cross disaster services.

    Joyce Knorr, Aroostook  County branch manager of the American Red Cross, Pine Tree chapter, recently accepted a $250 donation from Joe Zubrick, director of the Caribou Performing Arts Center. The donation to the local Red Cross disaster services came from a percentage of CPAC season tickets sold during 2009.

    Joyce Knorr, Aroostook County branch manager of the American Red Cross, Pine Tree chapter, stated, “We (the Red Cross) appreciate all the hard work Joe has put forward in both his success with the  CPAC productions and his generosity regarding this donation. These funds will be used for immediate support for those in emergency situations,” continued Knorr, “helping to provide lodging, clothing and food for individuals within Aroostook County.” Knorr also said, “We can’t begin to say how grateful we are  regarding those who support the local Red Cross by volunteering their time and helping through their generous donations.
    Knorr presented Zubrick with a Red Cross award certificate in recognition of the donation from the Caribou Performing Arts Center.
