Erin Soucy of Portage Lake and Cole Gagnon of Bath were married on July 25, 2009 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Portage Lake by Fr. Jean-Paul Labrie. A wedding reception was held lakeside at the home of the Soucy’s in Portage. The bride is the daughter of Darrell and Sandra Soucy and granddaughter of Pearle Soucy of Portage Lake. The groom is the son of Ray and Karla Gagnon of Bath.
The matron of honor was Christi (Hunter) Doyen, friend of the bride, Mapleton. Bridesmaids were Beth (Hunter) Hummel and Denise (Dumond) Plourde both of Portage, Michelle (Junkins) Hiscox of York, PA, Erica (Kelly) Harold of Westbrook, Annie White of Topsham, Libby Johnson and Jamie Salamone of Portland. Aubrey Ellsworth, cousin of the bride, served as flower girl and Sam Gray, godson of the bride, was the ring bearer. The best man was Kyle Gabri, friend of the groom, of Auburn. Groomsmen were Brendan Fontaine of Auburn, Haj Carr of Chevy Chase, MD, Mike Kramer of Albany, NY, Tom Doucette of Portland/Van Buren and Adam Soucy, brother of the bride from Portage.
The bride is a 1996 graduate of Ashland Community High School, 2000 graduate of University of Maine at Presque Isle, a 2004 graduate of University of New England with a master’s degree in Clinical Social Work. She currently works as an outpatient clinician at Lyman Moore Middle School in Portland, where she also coaches soccer and softball.
The groom is a 1998 graduate of Morse High School in Bath. He is a 2001 graduate of Green Mountain College in Vermont, with a degree in Business. He currently works as a Fraud Analyst for Nationwide Payment Solutions in Scarborough.
The couple resides in their new home in Windham.
