Christmas Light Parade Party
The Presque Isle Recreation and Parks Department will be open on Saturday, Dec. 5 at 6 p.m. prior to the Light Parade. This is a great opportunity for people to come in and spread some holiday cheer prior to watching the parade. Children can come make ornaments while they wait for the parade to start. This is open for all ages, and families are encouraged to come. There will also be refreshments during the party and parade. The cost of making ornaments is $2. People who bring non perishable food items to donate will get a 50 percent discount. Call the office at 764-2545 with any questions.
Kids’ Christmas Party
The recreation department is once again hosting its Kids’ Christmas Party for children in grades 1-5. The event will be on Friday, Dec. 15 from 6-9:30 p.m.
Parents can finish up some Christmas shopping while their kids enjoy an evening of fun. Activities will include: bingo, gym games, a Red Sox swap and pizza eating. Gifts don’t have to be Red Sox related; we just don’t say that nasty ‘Y’ word around here.
Pre-registration if required as there are limited spaces available. The fee is $5 per child, plus a $3-$5 Red Sox swap gift.
Registration begins today at the William V. Haskell Community Center. Contact the recreation office at 764-2545 for more information.
