Priorities questioned

To the editor:
From watching and learning about all that is done for homeless animals around town, I wish that much concern could be turned to the seniors around the area who sometimes don’t have food, heat and other necessities due to cuts in government funds.     Why is it that we are more concerned if an animal is out on the street without a home than we are for our elderly who don’t get enough to eat. I love animals just as well as the next person. But I believe the seniors and handicapped should come before any animal. Where are our priorities?
