Area soldiers graduate from basic training
    COLUMBUS, Ga. – Army Pvt. John A. Ansolini and Army Pvt. Robert D. Greenier have graduated from basic infantry training at Fort Benning in Columbus, Ga.     During the nine weeks of training, the soldiers received training in drill and ceremonies, weapons, map reading, tactics, military courtesy, military justice, physical fitness, first aid, Army history, core values and traditions. Additional training included development of basic combat skills and battlefield operations and tactics, and experiencing use of various weapons and weapons defenses available to the infantry crewmen.
    Ansolini, a 2009 graduate of Presque Isle High School, is the son of Karen Ansolini of Presque Isle and the grandson of Shirley Polom of Fort Fairfield.
    Greenier, also a 2009 graduate of Presque Isle High School, is the son of Jeannie Wilcox of Chapman.
