Caroline Hayden of Caribou recently donated this handmade quilt to the Halfway Home Pet Rescue to help raise funds for feline medical expenses. The quilt can be seen and tickets purchased during the month of December at Beaulieu’s Garage on South Main Street in Caribou. Tickets may also be purchased at the Caribou Chamber of Commerce and Industry or by contacting Norma Milton at 492-1722. Tickets for the quilt drawing are $1 each or 7 for $5. The winning ticket will be announced on February 14, during Caribou Winter Carnival week. The staff at the Halfway Home Pet Rescue appreciate the response to the donation jars that are placed in area businesses and also the 88 Bennett Drive Bottle Redemption. The facility has several adult fixed cats who are hoping for a home before Christmas including two who have the Maine Coon look, however these cats need a quiet, relaxed home setting to recover from a serious abuse situation.
