PRESQUE ISLE – MMG Insurance and workers’ compensation specialist MEMIC have announced a product affiliation that will give business owners in New Hampshire and Pennsylvania the opportunity to obtain complete business coverage from the two respected regional insurers. As a result of the agreement, the two companies will work with each other’s agency force to team up on a full range of business insurance products from MMG along with workers’ compensation from MEMIC.
“We’re delighted to be starting an affiliation with such a quality partner as MMG,” said MEMIC Senior Vice President for Underwriting Donald V. Hale Jr. “Together with our great product in workers’ compensation – with its strong service-oriented component – we believe that this partnership will provide business owners in New Hampshire and Pennsylvania with a high quality, convenient option for handling all of their commercial lines insurance. And we have confidence that our agency partners will find that this is a great benefit, as well.”
“MMG looks forward to the many benefits this affiliation will bring to its agents and policyholders,” said Matt McHatten, senior vice president of external operations. “Growing commercial lines remains a high priority in our strategic vision. Not only does the affiliation with MEMIC bring the ability to provide a workers’ compensation solution, it also creates alignment with a partner representing similar values of stability, exceptional customer service, and industry expertise. To say the least, we’re very excited about the resulting opportunities.”
The MEMIC coverage will be offered through its MEMIC Indemnity Co. subsidiary, which is domiciled in Manchester, N.H. The affiliation will be available for new business effective Jan. 1, 2010 and is available for policyholders with workers’ compensation premium of no less than $750 annually.
Agents who are already contracted and appointed with both companies in these states are eligible to begin participating in the affiliation immediately. Any MMG New Hampshire and Pennsylvania agents not currently appointed by MEMIC will be appointed in December 2009.
