WEST SACRAMENTO, CA – Dana Dawson died Oct. 20, 2009, in her West Sacramento home at the age of 91. Born Feb . 11, 1918, in Presque Isle, Maine, the youngest child of Lt. Col. (Ret.) Malcolm and Maude (Reiley) Dingwall.
She enjoyed canoeing, ice skating and reading non-fiction. She was a stenographer in Dingwall Ins. Agency until her marriage to Harlan Dawson on July 19, 1944. They moved to West Sacramento, CA in 1946. She was employed at West Sacto Land Co. for seven years and was a member of Capitol City Figure Skating Club, Northern Cal Egg Artists and the Trinity Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years and her daughters, Debra Ferris and Serena Sevo. Preceded in death by her sisters, Dorothy and Debra and brother, Douglas Dingwall. River Cities Funeral Chapel, 910 Soule St., West Sacramento, CA 95691.
