    The Houlton Parks and Rec Department has announced its hours and on going activities for the week of Wednesday,  Oct. 21.
Open Gym
    Grades 2-6: Wed., Oct. 21, 2-4:45 p.m.; Thurs., Oct. 22, 3-5 p.m.; Fri., Oct. 23, 3-5 p.m.; Sat., Oct 24, 1-3 p.m. Halloween Carnival; Sun., Oct. 25, 1-4 p.m.; Mon., Oct. 26, 3-4:45 p.m.; Tues., Oct. 27, 3-5 p.m.
    Grades 7-12: Wed., Oct. 21, 2-4:45 p.m.; Thurs., Oct. 22, 3-5 p.m.; Fri., Oct. 23, 3-5 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.; Sat., Oct. 24, 6-8 p.m.; Sun., Oct. 25, 1-4 p.m.; Mon., Oct. 26, 3-4:45 p.m. and Tues., Oct. 27, 3-5 p.m.

Halloween Fun Carnival
    Saturday, Oct. 24 from 1-3 p.m. for youngsters through Grade 6.  Cost is $4 per person and all children must be accompanied by an adult. Children are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes to the Carnival. For more information, call the recreation department at 532-1310.
Walker’s schedule:
    Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Participants must wear sneakers in the gym. Free to all participants.
    Women’s Open Gym – Each Tuesday from 7-8:30 p.m. Cost $2 per person. Participants must be 18 years of age or older and out of high school.
    Men’s Open Gym – Each Monday and Wednesday from 7-8:30 p.m. Cost $2 per person, must be 18 years of age or older and out of high school to participate.
