The Maine Epsilon Master Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi held their October meeting at the home of Jane Crouse on Oct. 15. President Judy Kenney conducted the meeting and welcomed guest Cheryl Palm. Secretary and treasurer reports were given. All committees reported on upcoming plans and activities. The members would like to attend community activities as a group. Suggested events were the Presque Isle Shipmates play “Pajama Game” being held in November, the Caribou Choral Concert, Danny & Friends, Justin Wood and other concerts.
Thank-you cards were read. The group will gather new and used books for the children to pass out at the Christmas Parade.
It was moved to adopt the Miss Presque Isle Scholarship Pageant as a Beta Sigma Phi project. Nancy Nichols was recognized for her City Clerk of the Year Award for the state of Maine.
Happy Dollars and Secret Sal gifts were enjoyed. Fun was had with the annual fundraiser project. A “Pound Auction.”
Refreshments were served by Barbara Hews, Ginny Packard and Linda Swett. Ryan’s Heart will be the program presented at the next meeting held in November.
