Labbe, Leland D., 87, Caribou, at Eagle Lake, October 14, 2009. At the request of Leland, there will be no funeral.

 

ImageImage    CARIBOU – Leland D. Labbe, 87, died peacefully on October 14, 2009, at the Eagle Lake Mercy Home. He was born in Easton on September 19, 1922. Leland served in the U.S. Army in World War II. Leland’s career was with the Bangor and Aroostook Railroad until his retirement in 1982 and had worked in most all B&A stations in northern Aroostook county.
    Leland was predeceased by his wife, Rosa, in 1988 and is survived by his wife, Amelia; 13 sons and daughters, Oneal, Theresa, Delores, Leo, Beatrice, Rosemarie, Paul, Lorraine, David, Daniel, Roland, Philip and Mary; four siblings, Vera, Joanne, Roland and Patrick; 35 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
    At the request of Leland, there will be no funeral. Burial occured at the St. Agatha Catholic Cemetery on October 17 at 2 p.m.
    Leland’s marker is inscribed, “See you in heaven.”
