MARS HILL – Bonnie Foster, senior vice president of retail services at Katahdin Trust Co., has announced the appointment of veteran banker Tori Barber to branch manager and retail services officer at the bank’s branch in Mars Hill.

“I am pleased to announce Tori’s well-deserved promotion,” Foster said. “For many years, she has been an invaluable employee who demonstrated a strong commitment to the Presque Isle area. Our customers will continue to benefit from her presence and experience as she assumes this new role for Katahdin Trust Co.
“Tori replaces Linda Delong who served the Mars Hill community for over 30 years,” she said. “We thank Linda for the excellent leadership demonstrated during her tenure, which extended beyond the daily duties of providing financial solutions for our customers to her active involvement in the community and surrounding areas.”
Barber, a native of Presque Isle, has been in banking for more than 20 years. She joined Katahdin Trust Co. as a teller in 1991 with the opening of the Presque Isle office and was promoted to customer service representative in 1995. Her new responsibilities include the day-to-day management of activities at the Mars Hill office, sales and business development, and retail lending.
She is a graduate of Presque Isle High School and has earned her consumer lending, certified teller and general banking diplomas from the Northern New England Center for Financial Training. Barber will be attending the Northern New England School of Banking in Durham, N.H. later this fall.
Active in civic endeavors, she is a member of the Mars Hill Rotary Club and has served as a parent volunteer for the Girl Scouts for several years, participated in fund-raising programs for the Central Aroostook Mentoring Program and served as auditor for the Little Miss Mapleton pageant. Barber resides in Presque Isle with her husband, Jim, and has one daughter, Jordyn.
