The Houlton Fire Department was called to 82 Main St. at 11:04 p.m. Friday for a report of a structure fire. According to fire chief Milton Cone, a pan was left burning on a stove, causing it to melt. A small portion of the wall surrounding the stove also caught fire. The Houlton Police Department was called to assist with crowd control as tenants attempted to re-enter the building before firefighters cleared the scene. Damage was minimal, the chief said. Ralph Zuraik owns the building.
