Hodgdon — David George Sherman, 65, died Monday, September 28, 2009, at Backus Memorial Hospital of Norwich, CT following a long illness. Born and raised in Hodgdon, the son of Floyd B. and Virginia Longfellow Sherman. David was a farmer in Hodgdon for twenty years, a member of the United States Army for two years and an employee of Walmart for 15 years prior to his death.
David leaves his wife of 23 years, Cathy Manuel Sherman; and is survived by his son, Christopher and his wife Tonya Sherman of Nederland, TX; his son, Kevin and his wife Heather Sherman of Presque Isle; his daughter, Rachel and her husband Michael Williams of Bremerton, WA; and his daughter, Arika and her husband Peter Munster of Groton, CT. David also leaves his sister, Betty Sherman Colosimo of Grafton, Ohio and two brothers, Richard Sherman of Wells and Roger Sherman of Hodgdon. He also leaves four granddaughters, Melissa Sherman, Brittany Sherman, Olivia Anne Munster and Olivia Jane Sherman. David is survived by four grandsons, Timothy and Tyler Sherman, Jason Sherman, and Grant David Williams. David is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of his life will held at the residence of Dan and Cindy Delucca, 257 McSheffery Rd, Houlton, at 1 p.m. on October 24, 2009.
