Chapter holds meet and greet

The Maine Epsilon Master Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi held a meet and greet meeting on Sept. 17 at the home of Sue Lougee. A Golden Circle Ritual honoring members with 50 years’ of service was given for Honey Higgins and Lucy Adams. President Judy Kenney conducted the meeting.      Twenty-six members were welcomed back from the summer months and guest Cheryl Palm was introduced. Secretary, treasurer and committee reports were discussed, with suggestions and plans for the upcoming year. Thanks were given to the Program Committee for the membership booklets handed out. Best wishes were sent to member Julie Ballard.
Those that had attended the Sorority Convention in Fredericton, New Brunswick, in July, reported the great time they had. Programs for the upcoming year were discussed. The annual summer outing at Mae Gerrish’s home in Eagle Lake was its usual great time.
Happy Dollars entertained the group. Refreshments by Priscilla Nichols, Mae Gerrish, Muriel Blotner and Tammy Walton were enjoyed by all.
The next meeting will be Oct. 15, at the home of Jane Crouse, with our annual fund-raising “One Pound Auction.”
