Where’s the 1980s time capsule?

To the editor:
I’m confused! I have heard about two time capsules buried between the Caribou Fire Department and the Caribou Kiwanis building. These capsules are reportedly the 1959 and the recent 2009 treasuries of history. However, the one to which I have been thinking of — and talking about — was buried in the 1980s. Although my parents undoubtedly put things into the one from 1959, mom put a precious cassette recording into the one that was buried in the 1980’s. So … I’m a bit confused. When exactly was this mystery Time Capsule buried – and where was it buried? Could someone share this important information with the rest of us by responding to this inquiry. Because my sister and a friend of mine – and my friend’s family also want to know – and I’m sure that there are others who will be just as curious.
We were younger in 1984 or 1989 (whenever this capsule was buried) and it took us a little while to actually remember about this particular capsule. There was no mention about it anywhere else, to my knowledge. I certainly hope that the memory of these keepers of time will not fade from our children and their children; that they will remember that such a thing exists, awaiting being retrieved 50 years from now.
