Sherman Area Memorial VFW No. 2299 and Ladies Auxiliary in Stacyville hosted a “Meet the Candidate Night” on Sept. 18.
Area residents met there to get a chance to meet Jason Levesque of Auburn who is running for the 2nd Congressional District in 2010. Coffee and homemade pies were available for people to enjoy while meeting with the candidate and discussing issues of importance for Maine citizens.
Jason is a 5th generation Mainer, and is a veteran of the U.S. Army. He currently owns his own business which employs 35 people. He resides in Auburn with his wife, Tracey and their three children, Alexandra, Ethan and Sarah.
Future meetings to meet Levesque will be held in other surrounding towns with dates and times to be announced.
