First Day Celebration

    Mill Pond School in Hodgdon celebrated the new school year by hosting a breakfast for students and families. This was the third year Mill Pond held a “First Day” celebration. The school invited parents to join their children for the first day, eat breakfast and meet school staff members. An informational meeting followed the meal and more than 60 parents attended. Such  celebrations are held nationwide to encourage family involvement in the school. Mill Pond’s event received a small grant from the Maine Parent Federation to assist with the cost.
