Fund-raiser
The Easton Little School Restoration Committee is raising money to start the restoration of the school house on the Station Rd. We are looking for things that you no longer want/need but that someone else may treasure. We hope to be able to sell these things and begin the work on the school.

We are asking for no clothes, TVs or computers. We are collecting donations now. Please call Heidi Thompson at 488-4991 as soon as possible to set up a time for dropping off your items. The sale will be held Saturday, Oct. 3, at the Easton Elementary School cafeteria. Mark your calendar now to plan to attend this sale. Thank you.

Local woman wins big prize
On Sept. 12 when her day began, little did Tammey White know that she would be winning a new kitchen makeover. But that she did when she picked out a crystal doorknob from a surfboard cake at the Women’s Expo. Her name was drawn out of a barrel with hundreds of other entrants’ names. Nine other ladies’ names were chosen. They had to dig into the cake to find the crystal knob. A few minutes into it, someone yelled a ‘got it.’ But to her disappointment it was only a piece of tinfoil balled up. So they went back to flinging cake and frosting everywhere to find the right knob. There were other things in the cake as well, like seashells, tinfoil balls and a cake tip. All of a sudden Tammey found something in the cake and, hardly daring to say anything, afraid she was wrong, she started yelling. They came over and, sure enough, it was the crystal knob. She won a $10,000 kitchen makeover, which Tammey said she desperately needed. We are so excited for you Tammey. Good job.
