HOMEMADE GOODIES — Destiny Ellis, Dannette Ellis and Deborah Rafford show off some of the 145 dozen cookies, squares, brownies and cupcakes that were made by the Houlton Wesleyan and Hodgdon Methodist Churches, as well as other ladies in the area. There were 33 boxes sent out to Afghanistan, including shoeboxes with items for the troops as well as Afghan children.

COOKIES GALORE — At the Houlton Wesleyan Church, Pastor Wayne Robertson and Dannette Ellis marvel at the hundreds of cookies and other baked goods parishioners brought in to ship to troops in Afghanistan. “It’s a beautiful gift of love to help support our troops,” said Robertson.
