Senior students hard at work

Family meets
The Tilley family recently held a weekend cookout at the home of Blyn and Boomer Tilley in Perham. Guests attending included Blyn’s daughter Tara Forcier and children Christan, Hazen and Taner of South Carolina, daughter Carmen Tilley of Presque Isle, Janis Hayes of Fort Fairfield, Burton and Bette Lou Tilley of Washburn, Cheryll Flanagin of Presque Isle, Jenna Flanagin of Mars Hill and Eric Tilley of Limestone.
Blyn cooked his famous fries, mushrooms and onion rings and all ate the goodies brought by everyone and a great time was had by all.
Also a part of the weekend was a bridal shower held for Carmen Tilley, at her Aunt Cheryll’s home, and was hosted by Bette Lou and Boomer Tilley.
Carmen received many cards and gifts and all enjoyed visiting with the guests. They played games and enjoyed refreshments including a pink bear cake made by Carmen’s cousin Jenna Flanagin.
Carmen received a special gift of a rocking chair from her grandmother, Bette Lou. It is a six-generation chair which was originally owned by Jessie Clayton who passed it down to Pauline Anderson and, finally, to Bette Lou Tilley. The chair also spent some time at the family camp at Squa Pan, overlooking the lake. Recently Blyn and his wife Boomer Tilley took great pains and restored this cherished family heirloom to near mint condition, and Bette Lou took the opportunity of passing it on to another generation by presenting it to her granddaughter, Carmen Tilley.
